MEET OUR TEAM

  • Lauren Hinojosa, MD offers advanced expertise in hand and wrist surgery including the treatment of complex fractures and dislocations, tendon injuries, fingertip injuries, sports injuries, nerve compressions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, de Quervain’s, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Dupuytren’s disease. Her goal for each patient is to optimize recovery and maximize function as best as possible through non-operative or operative measures. 

    Before starting her own practice, Dr. Hinojosa was Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.  While at UTMB, Dr. Hinojosa revitalized the hand program and the residency curriculum.

    Dr. Hinojosa attended The University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate education where she received University Honors.  She obtained her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.  She completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, one of the nation’s busiest trauma centers.  She then was awarded a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at The CV Starr Hand Surgery Center in New York City, the oldest and one of the most prestigious teaching hand surgery fellowships in the country.   As part of her fellowship, she received additional training in pediatric hand conditions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas. 

    She is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

    A native Texan, Dr. Hinojosa lives in League City, Texas, with her family.


  • Lauren received her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.
    She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Lauren’s 14 year nursing career includes experience in emergency
    medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as years spent in preoperative and postoperative medical-surgical areas. Lauren joined Dr. Hinojosa’s practice in 2023. Her advanced clinical education and training makes her a valuable member of the clinic health care team. In addition to having direct patient care responsibilities, Lauren also provides a high level of nursing support in the operating room. Lauren resides in League City with her husband and three children.


  • Diane has worked at UTMB since 2001. She attained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology at University of Houston in 1999 and a Bachelor's of Science degree Occupational Therapy at UTMB in 2001. 

    Diane is a member of the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association and American Society of Hand Therapists.  She earned a Master's of Science degree in Fitness and Human Performance at University of Houston - Clear Lake in 2010 where she was awarded the Most Outstanding Graduate as well as graduated with honors.  She received her hand certification in 2012.

    Diane's tenure at UTMB includes inpatient and outpatient experience where the majority of her work has been in upper extremity rehabilitation.
